18.5 hp twin Kohler Magnum craftsman, model no 917251492, serial no. 040996C diagram for all belts and siz?
looking for diagram of the belts what sizes and where they go can some one tell me anything
Look under the hood for parts list on a decal. Also under the foot rests sometimes there is a belt diagram underneath.
Belt placement is pretty logical. The deck belt must go around the main front pulley-then around the deck spindles and usually an idler pulley. Just remember the back or flat part of the belt always rides on the idler pulley - not the "V" part of the belt. Put the belt on all the pulleys except 1. Choose the last pulley that is the easiest to get to.
Get the belt ready to go on the last pulley and work it up and into the pulley by barely starting the belt on the pulley, then turn the pulley as you work the belt on all the way.
I make a belt diagram on a pc. of cardboard I keep in my garage. I draw a picture of deck from top view, and spindles and idlers - then show path of belt on diagram. Pretty handy when belt comes off and destroys itself.
