Surface Engineering - Metal Finishing to High Standards

What to do when Sony DSC-H1 shows "turn the power off and on again" message?

I recently dropped my camera onto a tile surface, this is not the first time it has fallen out of my hands, but, it is the first time that i am receiving any complications from it. Ever since it has fallen, i turn on my camera and the lens seems to be going through an auto focus pattern. However i receive a message on the LCD stating "turn the power off and on again" followed by a continuous beeping.
What has happened and how to fix this?
