This is a best cooktop, but the limitations should be understood. First, the output is equivalent to 6000 BTU / hr gas burner, about the same as the smallest burner gas range. Note that this is much smaller than the '11,500' BTU / HR wrongly claimed that the other reviewer.
This is our 1st induction cookop, although I've tried the built-in modules to the stores. The price is much better, and portability is a big selling feature for us - we can connect anywhere while traveling and you can cook outside in summer to keep heat and humidity in the house, if need be. The use of induction units, which are only slightly more than half of the strength of electric cooktops resistance, because almost no energy will be waste heat from the room. I do not use the gas, since this is the burner for a month. We are building a zero energy home, and our experience with this unit convinced us that no nat. gas, house, or an electric resistance hot plate - this is far from over.
As such, it handles only a small kitchen works. Or, if one liter of water boils rapidly, but it can not handle the number of liters required for a pasta pot, for example. Where can I find a 6 burner gas cooktop cover?

I have a 6 burner thermador gas cooktop and want a cover for it so I can increase my counter space. I checked to see if thermador had one but they dont. I have spent hours searching online and cant find anything. My cooktop is rectangular and approximately 37" x 24". Can anyone help me? I am having a New Year's Eve party and need alot of extra space! Below is a link to a cooktop that is sort of like mine. I know it says 36" but I added an extra inch to cover the stainless steal around it. Thanks SOOO much

Are you handy or do you have someone who could help you build something to cover it? You can always go to Home Depot or Lowes and they will help you with any project. Just tell them what you have and need and they will do the rest.
