How to unclogged my main sewer drain?

I've been having this problem for 6 days now. The last time it happened I just left my house alone for 4 days and came back and the clog just went away. Maybe it's toilet paper clog and it tried out when I left my house vacant. When I flush the toilet or showerl, it backs up down in the basement drain, which I believe it to be the main drain that leads to the sewer. I tried pouring down the most potent liquid solution and using snake rod but I couldn't get my drain to unclogged. It's too slow draining that's why it backs up. I don't want to spend on a plumber service. any help thank you in advance.
