A1 = 5 cm² = 5 x (0.01)² m² = 5e-4 m² {small piston area}
A2 = 500 cm² = 500 x (0.01)² m² = 500e-4 m² {car's side piston area}
A2/A1 = force expansion at equal level of oil = 100

since force is proportional to mass, 1100/100 = 11 kg ANS (a)

oil density = 500 kg/m³ = 1/2 that of H2O so height of oil will be twice the equivalent in H2O.
1 atm = 101,300 Pa = 10.3 m of H2O = 20.6 m of oil {equivalence 10.3 m of H2O = 1 atm}
80 kg = 80(9.81) = 785 N {added force on A2}
the added pressure in the oil = 785/500 e-4 = 0.157e5 Pa
oil level drop on car side = 0.157e5/1.013e5 x 20.6 m = 0.155 x 20.6 = 3.19 m of oil ANS (c)

I believe that the answer to b) is the same as c).
The reason is that the height or height difference of the oil (fluid in tube) is directly proportional to the pressure. Thus the new level of the oil (fluid in tube) will be proportional to pressure added. And since the pressure is the SAME on both sides of the hydraulic system ie both the large AND small area pistons, the height or level change will be the SAME on both sides. Therefore an increase in fluid pressure = 80 kg person will drop the level on car side by 3.19 m, and it will also raise the level on the small piston side by the SAME amount. ANS (b).
