My home DVD movies will not play in my DVD most DVD players. I am downloading useing NERO from my Sony cam.?

I am downloading to my lap top from my sony handy cam video camera. I am making the movie with NERO software and have also used a couple others. The problem is they willnot play on all dvd player only a select few. Quality of player does not seem to tie in since they played on a $40 special an not on a $300 pioneer>> Any tips.

it can be down to the disks, you actually use, not all dvd types play on normal dvds players, i have a jvc one which dont play cheap dvd r's i buy form a cheap supplier, but it plays sony dvd -r's, where i have a cheap £30 philips one and plays every dvd i have. you need to try searching the forums for your model and see what type of disks everyone uses. if you mail me ill see if i can find more or post your dvd player model
