Cat peed on 6.0lb density 4 inch thick memory foam on top of 400 dollar mattress. How do I clean it?

I didn't want the cat, my girlfriend wanted it and I let her get it for her birthday. Now it has peed on the bed when I wasn't in there. I took a towel and stood directly on top of the spot to try to soak it out. THIS IS A THOUSAND DOLLAR BED. I called my girlfriend cussing but she is sick and she just started crying. Now I feel bad and I have to clean it before she gets home. I live in a very small town with limited access to much.

OK, that was harsh.... but, I'm not sure you will ever really get it out. There are urine and odor neutralizer sprays available at most pet stores. Depending on how much "it" soaked in, you may at least get some of the smell out.

Be advised that many cats are attracted to rubber-type things in that way. Rubber-backed bath mats, foam pillows, foam-backed furniture covers - and apparently $1000 memory foam beds - are all common targets for cats. You'll have to keep the little darling out of your bedroom at all times.
