What can i do for my cats eye?

I have several cats, and they are just playing but they play a little to ruf sometimes and one of my cats eyes were red and draining yesterday, and this morning when i got up i checked on him it appears they have scratched him in his eye again and now it is bleeding and he will only keep it open for a second then he closes it, but it almost seems like it is painful for him to close it. Is there anything i can do other than take him to the vet?

The first thing would be to keep him away from the other cats for awhile. You can gently cleanse his eye with cotton balls soaked in warm, not hot, water. Don't have the balls sopping wet, just damp enough to clean away the blood. Watch for infection and if he is still having trouble in a couple of days, take him to the vet because he will probably need a prescription antibiotic cream.
