Why are rear shocks on most Chevy trucks at different angles?

Look at any 95-99 Tahoe, Silverado etc. and most likely the rear shocks are angled differently. The passenger side shock is attatched at the top forward of the differential and the drivers side shock is attatched at the top rear from the dif. Im curious if I did like Dodge and manuf. some brackets to angle them in line with the dif and out if Id get better ride quality????

Yeah that's the design of it to keep the rear axle centered for ride quality. The rear sway bar is opposite of the shocks so it balances out. It compensates for more torque on the passenger side rear wheel due to the design of the differential
