Fix a Good Flashback with RV, Trailer and Camper Parts

Reviving the culture with RV, Trailer and Camper Parts
Driving across the Southern Arizona desert in the dead of winter awhile back, I came across an amazing spectacle. There in the middle of nowhere, USA, were thousands upon thousands of RV's, motor homes, and trailers. It was simply hard for me to take it all in there were so many. A stop at the next available exit with services helped fill in a few details. Just about everyone I talked to was NOT from there, even the cashier. Turns out I'd stumbled upon a whole other culture, new to me, the RV culture.
Putting the puzzle of touring and living in places together with RV, Trailer and Camper Parts
Many of these "vehicles" were homes. Yes, living quarters for retired folks fleeing the colder climates of North America for the winter. They called themselves snowbirds. And I guess that's an appropriate title in that they headed south for the winter. Of the people I talked with, a few had actually sold their homes and made their RV a permanent home, not just a vacation abode. When I asked about mail and that sort of thing, they told me that they simply had a service handle that for them sending them what they needed when called upon to do so. But another told me that they had satellite and could get Internet and bank access most anywhere they went as part of their RV, trailer and camper parts. They went on that, yes, it was a bit different but they loved this lifestyle.
Of course that lead me to pursue the whole idea of being transient. To that I was quickly set straight. Another RV-er told me that he and his wife had fellow RV friends that "meet up" at various times throughout the year all over the country. And that they talk and trade emails and text messages regularly! I have to tell you, it certainly seems to me, a non-RV owner, that this crowd certainly is more up with the times when it comes to modern communications a little more so than perhaps their peers, at least those peers of the same age group. I presume that their travels forced them to learn various modes of keeping in touch with family and things back home. So they adapted. Some of even early adapters wanting to try out the latest toys and gadgets in their RV, trailer and camper parts along the highways and byways.
All of this is well and good. But what I like most about this crowd is their friendliness toward one another. There IS an RV culture and by and large it is a friendly, helpful one. It's not uncommon to see those who are already set up and in place stop what they were doing and come out or get up to help a new arrival back in or position and get set up. They convey a genuine neighborliness that, honestly, I don't see in most neighborhoods around our big cities anymore.
This group seems to watch out for one another. They share their tales and food and drink, often congregating in easy chairs outside their "homes." And some of these homes are pretty spectacular with loads of conveniences and creature comforts. There seems to be this sense of adventure that pervades this group. They'll be here for awhile and the move on to another scene...literally. One couple was headed to spend 2 weeks (apparently the time limit) at a National Park exploring the scenery and meeting up with another of their RV friends.
Building a travelling community with RV, Trailer and Camper Parts
I admire this attitude in people where they don't just resign themselves to the easy chair in the den in front of the television. And I love the friendly, neighborly, helpful, caring, sharing thing that this group seems to mostly demonstrate in their actions with fellow travelers of the same culture. Refreshing! Hopeful! Yep, just a few more descriptive words I have for those who love their RV, trailer, and camper parts.
